The publisher of Apisanitas, who can be reached at contact@apisanitas.org (see the legal notice).
Technical connection data
As with any website, displaying a page involves sending technical data to the server: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system. This data is processed by the hosting provider (Kinsta Inc., Sevalla service) and its delivery network to serve pages, keep the site secure and prevent abuse. It is not used to identify you or to show you advertising. As the hosting provider is based in the United States, this data may be processed outside the European Union.
Images hosted by third parties
Some public-domain illustrations are displayed directly from their producers’ servers (US public agencies such as USGS or USDA, or their distributors). When they load, your browser contacts those servers, which therefore receive your IP address, as with any content loaded from another website.
Audience measurement
To understand how the site is used (page views, countries, device types), we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free audience measurement tool that stores nothing on your device and does not track you across websites. Statistics are aggregated only and cannot identify visitors. This service is provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States).
Photos you send
If you use the Share a photo form, we receive your photos and the information entered: observation, country, region, date and, if provided, your name (for the credit) and email address (to contact you). This data is used only to illustrate the factsheets and to build a reference image library on honey bee health. Photos are reviewed before anything is published; any location metadata they contain is never published. Your email address is never published or used for any other purpose. Submissions are stored with Cloudflare, Inc. You may ask at any time for your photos or data to be removed by writing to contact@apisanitas.org.
Advertising
The site may display advertising in the future to fund its operation. Before that happens, this policy will be updated and, if non-essential cookies or trackers are used, your consent will be requested beforehand, as required by law.
If you write to contact@apisanitas.org, your address and message are used only to reply and handle your request. They are never sold or used for marketing, and are deleted once no longer needed.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of data concerning you. To exercise these rights, write to contact@apisanitas.org.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr).
